This May in order to raise funds for our Philadelphia service learning trips and for Youth Week 2019, we are hosting a FREE car wash! Because of weather, we have postponed the event to Saturday, May 18 from 10am-1pm in the church parking lot. Now, you're probably asking, "how can someone raise funds by hosting a free car wash?" I'm glad you asked... here's how this works!

How it Works:
We will be washing all of the cars at no cost to the car owner. Instead, we'll be raising funds primarily through the generous sponsorships of our donors. Prior to the car-wash, we are inviting any and all people to sign up as a sponsor to the car wash. You or your business can sponsor us in one of three ways.

1 - Sponsorship By Car

For every car we wash, you can choose to give $0.25, $0.50, $0.75, $1.00, $2.50, $5.00, or $10. So, for example, if we wash 10 cars, whoever pledges to donate $0.50 per car would be committed to donating $5.00. If we wash 100 cars, they would donate $50.

2 - Sponsorship By Quota

Another way that you can sponsor is by quota. The way that this works is that if we hit a specific number of cars, then we would get a specific donation. The final number of cars we wash determines the donation amount. For example, if we wash equal to or more than 50 cars then someone commits to donating $25. If we wash equal to or more than 100 cars, then they donate $50. If we wash equal to or more than 200 cars, then they donate $100. The donation value to car ratio is 1:2. The different quota levels are 25 cars ($12.50), 50 cars ($25), 75 cars ($37.50) 100 cars ($50), 150 cars ($75), and 200 cars ($100). When you pick a quota, you are picking the max amount that you are willing to give. For example, if you pick the "100" car option then if we wash more than 100, you will only be paying for the 100 car option ($50). If we only wash equal to or more than 50 cars, then we'll ask for the 50 car quota ($25) since we did not reach the 100 car quota.

3 - Business Sponsorship

We have added a third sponsorship option this year! If you or your business would like to sponsor our car-wash event, you now have the option to do so! The following options are available for business': $50 (Bronze), $100 (Silver), $250 (Gold), $500 (Platinum). When filling out your information below, please be sure to upload your business logo (or email it to Chesling@jacksonfumc.org). We will be giving every car that comes through the car-wash a thank you flyer. On the back of that flyer, we will list out all of the business sponsors (with their logos) according to their donation ranking (Platinum at top all the way to bronze at the bottom).

• Fill out this form to determine and sign-up for a sponsorship option. Immediately after our car-wash, we will contact you (via email and/or phone) with an "invoice" for what is due. Included in the invoice will be some payment options for you.

The funds raised from this fundraiser will help cover the following expenses for our summer mission projects:

• Funds will help sponsor the students and their participation on this trip to Philadelphia. The trip cost is reduced this year for students to help alleviate the financial weight of the trip.
• Funds also help cover the expenses associated with our adult volunteers going on this trip. As a thank you to our leaders, we reduce the cost of the trip for them. Funds raised at this car-wash will help cover some of their expenses.
• Transportation expenses (including vehicle rentals and gas) to travel to and from Philadelphia.
• Food expenses traveling to and from Philadelphia.
• A "thank you" gift will be given to the United Methodist Churches that will be providing complimentary lodging and food for our group as we travel to and from Philadelphia.

• A love-offering gift will be given to the Rock Ministries in Philadelphia for their proving a mission experience for our group at a discounted rate. We also want to support all that they are doing in Philadelphia.
